CU political science rocks
So I have been a political science major here at CU for three years. I have discovered for a small private university, the education is one of the best. Not only do we have professors who have political backgrounds and classes that not only challenge us, but change our views on many issues, the school of political science has one thing that seperates us from the rest of the schools. Our professors get to know us and will do anything to make us succeed in all aspects of life. I know many of my fellow students who will be pursuing some form of graduate level school with the help of the faculty here in this department. The faculty is loyal and will go out of your way to help you. Where else does this quality of staff exist? I know if I find out I will be able to one up them. So bring it
Gas prices are killing me a slow and painful death
This post is dedicated to how much I hate gas prices. It is ridiculous that we are so dependent on foreign oil and and it really starting to grind my gears. I propse this, that since we are the fattest country in the world we should build a car that runs on fast food. It will benefit us greatly
It is all coming to an end
So this is my final week of classes, and I am a little dismayed. I feel that here at Campbellsville I got something more than an education. It was here that I became a man. I made mistakes, learned from them, and found out who I really was. I am at a loss of words right now because I am truly going to miss this place. I am not going to miss the administration or the classes, but I am going to miss the people. I know that I have always said that I hated this place (and 75% of the time I have) but I am going to miss how this place changed me. I made my fair share of mistakes at this place and the ridicule I have received of this place truly hurt me but I am thankful for those who have stood by me. My professor Max Wise for example has been my biggest supporter. I have not always been the best student but he has never given up on me and for that I am eternally grateful. I might be leaving this place, I know that the lessons I have learned have changed me forever
Ding Dong the Witch of the Middle East is Dead! or is he?
After a tremendousoly busy weekend working with the youth group I work with here in Campbellsville, I get on Facebook and find that my newsfeed was blowing up with death statuses referring to bin Laden. This brings my first point that I was very embarrassed that I found the major news story of the year and possibly the decade via Facebook. But I soon was glued to the news networks detailing every detail of his final moments. I ended my night with listening to Barack Obama's speech. As I was glued to the tube, I was soon disgusted with him taking all credit of the attack. I felt that he did a huge part, but he was not the sole victor in this huge battle against terror. The next day was bombarded with the news that people thought that bin Laden really was not dead. This was heartbraking because I thought this was it. I feel that bin Laden is truley dead and the fact that we cannot see his death photo does not change that. People are now going to use this as a political stunt for the upcoming presidential election. I am anxious to see how the Republicans (mostly Tea Partiers) take this story on. I feel that this is going to get ugly in the coming months.

Stuck in the Crossroads
So I remember vividly my first day as an awkward freshman here at CU. Now here I am less then two weeks before graduation and I am at the start of a mini-nervous breakdown. NBD. It is crazy that all of the training I have received in college is about to be put into use. Let's see if I can do it. As many of my readers (all three of you) may know, I have learned more about social networking then I have academics here at CU. We will see if all my social networking pays off. My plans are unclear and my road here at CU has been bumpy, but I know this is where I am supposed to be. I was meant to be a Theology major and a Political Science Major, now I just need to figure out why I was mean to.
Silly Time
So let me tell you how tired I am of hearing about whether Barack Obama is really an American citizen. I am even more tired about hearing about how we have more "serious" things to worry about and how we need to solve them. Is he really doing a good job solving them, when he refuses to compromise. I am all about him rebuking Trump and showing his birth certificate, but if he really wants to make progress, drop the Chicago politics and work together with congress.

Budgeting Woes
We are on the verge of a government shutdown in our fine country. For those of you do not know what that means, it means that if our lawmakers cannot come to terms with a national budget, then as of April 8, the government will not provide "non-essential" services. These include: police, fire fighting, armed forces, air traffic management, and utilities.
This may sound like a good plan on the outside because we will be saving money, but what it is going to happen is that frankly, millions of Americans will be getting screwed. And I am not talking about nuts and bolts. Over 800,000 furloughed Americans will now be out of a job.
A big question being raised is who is going to pay for our military. This article really got me thinking. Should the military and armed forces really be considered "non-essential"? As of right now, they are very essential. Pentagon Press Secretary, Geoff Morrell didn't even have an answer when they asked him on Tuesday.
Tom Donnelly, director of the Center of Defense Studies at the American Enterprise Inc., said that this is not unique of Obama Administration. He says Obama says if you cut my budget proposal than "babies will die." According to Donnelly, this is very dangerous politics. Obama says that it is the Republicans who want this to happen, however the Republicans say that they will do anything possible to keep the military paid.
This is getting old. I am tired of two viewpoints running our country, yet they never compromise. Because of this, Americans are suffering. The same Americans who vote these politicians into office. We vote them in, yet we get no results back. Our needs to be built up, not divided. Now Americans are paying for their elected politicians shortcomings
